We’re looking forward to taking the teens to summer camp at Northland Christian Camp and Conference Center again this year. They had a great time last year and gained valuable Bible truths. This year’s dates are July 22-28. Feel free to extend an invitation to young people you know who might enjoy and benefit from this camp. If you would like to sponsor or help sponsor a young person, it’s possible we will have some who don’t have the financial means to attend on their own. Please pray that the Lord will work in young people’s lives through this week of camp!
Everyone is welcome to experience and share the bounties of nature at our free evangelistic wild game dinner and contest!
We’re expecting our biggest and best year yet at this year’s Wild Beast Feast. Come for free, and enjoy a variety of wild game dishes, dessert, music, a message, and the chance to win door prizes. This is an event for the whole family. If you think your wild game has got game, bring your best dish or dishes to enter our contest (this is how we supply much of the food for the dinner.) The best venison dish, best fish or fowl dish, and best exotic dish (any other wild game) will each receive a $100 gift card to Cabela’s. Second prize for each category will be a $50 gift card to Cabela’s. Judging is done by voting among the attendees. You may bring more than one entry, but only home-prepared dishes will qualify for prizes.
Bruce Frye, an exceptional singer-songwriter with a great testimony, is returning to sing and speak for us.
We will also have a few not-so-wild dishes and sides for those who would enjoy the fellowship, music, and message, but prefer their dinner on the tamer side.
If you have questions, please contact the church at (734) 426-4915.
If you are planning to attend, please preregister below.
Fall Revival Services
Our fall revival services will be October 29-November 1! Bro. Tim Thompson and his family will be back with us this year.
Not only is Bro. Tim a powerful preacher, he and his family are also gifted musicians who plan to minister to us musically in each service.
We will have a lunch fellowship and afternoon service rather than an evening service on the 29th.
There is a signup sheet for the meal in the narthex. You can look the Thompson’s up at www.evangelisttimthompson.com.
We hope you’ll be praying, preparing, and inviting people to hear God’s Word proclaimed graciously and powerfully!
The Ladies Group will be making Christmas cookie boxes for our elderly and shut ins. If you’d like to donate 2 dozen cookies from your kitchen or grocer’s cookie aisle, please have them at the church by Dec 6 or bring them to our Ladies Meeting/Christmas Party at Karin Rettig’s house on Dec 7. Ladies attending the meeting, please bring a gift of $5 or thereabouts for the gift exchange. See Karin or Wenonah for more info. Thank you!
Our production of Harold the King will be next Sunday, December 10, during the morning service. We will have a dinner on the grounds and an afternoon service that day. This lightly-humorous musical play presents an excellent opportunity to invite the unsaved or unchurched to hear the gospel. Please be praying that the Lord would work to His glory through this production. Everyone is asked to bring a main dish or side dish. If your last name starts with A-M, please bring a dessert in addition to your main or side dish. That is two dishes if your last name begins with A-M. The church will provide the ham, rolls, and the drink. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex.
After the morning service we will be having a taco luncheon. The church is providing food, so there is no need to bring main courses, but there will be a donation basket to help cover the cost if you are able. Following the luncheon, we will have an afternoon service instead of our regular evening service.
Join us in fellowship for Game Night at the church!
We’re excited about having the Pardine family with us this week! The Pardines are veteran missionaries to Peru who met on the mission field and continue to serve together. Casandra will also speak for the ladies meeting this Thursday night, August 3.
